In this procedure, the wax is directly visualised under a microscope as it is being removed and no water is involved. It is quicker and more precise than flushing, and has a lower risk of infection and a lower risk of damaging the ear drum, middle ear and inner ear structures.
Iron infusions are available in our clinic. They are an option for iron deficiency patients for whom oral tablets are not effective or have undesirable side effects. The infusion itself takes about 15 minutes and you need to stay to be monitored for about half an hour after the procedure.
